Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of the old man’s death.

On April 1, 2021 at 14:22 a call was received from “Erebuni” medical center informing that a man, born in 1941, with a diagnosis of polytrauma was taken to them.

During the preparation of materials it was found out that on the mentioned day at about 13:50 in the yard of one of the houses in Gyulikevikyan Street in Nor Nork a row on domestic matters erupted between the old man and his neighbor during which the neighbor pushed 79 year-old man. The latter losing his consciousness, fell to the ground and sustained bodily injuries.

Some days after the incident – on April 3, 2021 at 12:24 a call was received from the medical center informing that the old man had died at 12:00.

Taking into consideration that in the prepared materials there was a legal base a criminal case was initiated in Nor Nork Police Division according to the Part 1 of the Article 109 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee and received in proceeding.

During preliminary investigation a number of investigative and other procedural actions were conducted – inspection of the body, a number of people were questioned, forensic medical examination of the body was commissioned.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the neighbor according to the Point 14 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code for the committal that arguing with 79 year-old man the latter with indirect intention, realizing that the old man was unable to protect, control himself, at least once hit him on the face. As a result, the old man fell down and the craniocerebral injury he had sustained negligently caused his death on April 3, 2021. Mortgage was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
