Criminal case initiated on hindrance to legal professional activity of journalist of «Azatutyun» radio station
A criminal case was initiated in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on hindrance to legal professional activity of journalist of «Azatutyun» radio station Arus Hakobyan by using violence against her.
The report submitted by Advocate of the RA Chamber of Advocates Karen Tumanyan to the RA Prosecutor General was received in Ararat Regional Investigative Department. The report informed that while shooting and covering the protest action on the road of Artashat town at about 15:00 a person in civilian clothes used violence against the journalist of «Azatutyun» radio station Arus Hakobyan who was carrying out her professional activities.
A criminal case was initiated in Ararat Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 164 of RA Criminal Code. Necessary urgent measures are taken to identify the person having committed the alleged crime and find out all circumstances of the case. Mass media publications about the incident have also become a subject of investigation.
