Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder combined with banditry and false crime reporting was completed in Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against 19 year-old resident of Hrazdan.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation, 19 year-old resident of Hrazdan town, being in a bad material state, having information that 66 year-old fellow-citizen was engaged in currency exchange and he had money with him when he left home in the morning, for the purpose of swindling money by banditry, on November 26, 2019 at the entrance of one of the houses of Kentron district of Hrazdan town attacked the latter, for the purpose of illegal deprivation of life stabbed 66 year-old man for 6 times on different parts of his body causing bodily injuries incompatible with life.

Besides, 19 year-old young man reported false crime; particularly, realizing that the information provided by him was false, he accused a person obviously not related to the crime of the above mentioned particularly grave crime.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 19 year-old resident of Hrazdan town according to the Point 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 (murder) and the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 333 (false crime reporting) of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
