A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing the citizen of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

On October 5, 2018 at about 03:50 a call was received informing that the citizen of the Democratic Republic of Congo, born in 1991, with a diagnosis of «cut-pierced penetrating wound on the left part of the chest» was taken to medical center. Pursuant to the reference received from medical center the latter's health condition was estimated to be severe.

On the same day on October 5, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case the person having committed the alleged crime was identified. The latter was arrested on suspicion of stabbing 27 year-old young man.

Forensic medical, forensic trace and forensic biological examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
