A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing 32 year-old man in Yerevan, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified, he was arrested.

On May 22, 2018 at 09:25 A. Rafayelyan, born in 1986, with a pierced wound was taken to Erebuni medical center.

On the same day a criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code, 32 year-old A. Rafayelyan was found the injured party. An investigatory group was formed, an investigatory plan was worked out, working hypotheses were put forward.

In the result of necessary investigatory and operative-searching measures actual data were obtained on circumstances of the case and the identity of the person having committed the alleged crime.

Particularly, through preliminary investigation it was found out that 32 year-old man had sustained the bodily injuries with a knife on the morning of May 22 during the quarrel that took place in 43 year-old man's house.  The latter was arrested and questioned.

The knife, which was the crime tool, was found.

Forensic medical and forensic biological examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
