Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of 36 year-old man’s stabbing.

On November 27, 2018 at 10:30 a call was received in the Police from the medical center informing that a man, born in 1982, with injuries threatening to life was taken to them.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-intelligence measures a number of circumstances of the case – the scene, the motive were found out, data were obtained on the person having committed the alleged crime; he is a resident of Ararat province, born in 1957.

Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions were conducted within the criminal case – witnesses were questioned, investigatory action of recognition with a photo was conducted, forensic medical, forensic trace and forensic biological examinations were commissioned.

Through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that on November 27, 2018 from 10:00 to 10:30 a row over domestic matters erupted between the resident of Ararat and CJSC employee at the CJSC area. A man, born in 1982, intervened in the quarrel trying to calm them down. However, the resident of Ararat argued with him too during which he stabbed 36 year-old man on the left lumber region and fled.

On November 28, 2018 61 year-old resident of Ararat province surrendered himself to the investigative body and gave testimony. On the same day he was arrested on suspicion of willful infliction of heavy bodily damage to health.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence on November 29, 2018 charge was pressed against him according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against him.

Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to verify the circumstances mentioned in the testimonies, to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
