Criminal Case Initiated on three Servicemen’s Murder Committed by Rival
A criminal case was initiated in the Fifth Garrison Investigative Unit of General Military Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 1, 2, 6, 7 and 13 of RA Criminal Code on three servicemen’s murder caused by the shots fired by the armed forces of Azerbaijan.
Pursuant to initial data, on January 11, 2022 servicemen of compulsory military service Artur Artyom Mkhitaryan (born in 2002), Vahan Vachagan Babayan (born in 2003 and Junior Sergeant Rudik Rafik Gharibyan (born in 2002) received fatal firearm injuries as a result of the shot fired towards the combat base located at the protection area of unit N deployed in the eastern direction of the Republic of Armenia from the rival.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
