Criminal Case Initiated on Banditry by Using Weapon

A criminal case was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on banditry by using weapon committed with prior agreement by masked persons.

Pursuant to initial data, on March 21, 2019 at about 20:00 two masked people armed with hunting gun and pistol illegally entered the house of the resident of Armavir town, born in 1970. One of those having committed the alleged crime pointed the pistol towards the housewife, born in 1984, demanding to keep silence. The other entered the living-room where facing the landlord’s resistance fired from a hunting gun. However, the landlord pointed the gun upward directing the fired shot to the ceiling. Then the masked person hit the landlord on the head with a handle after which they escaped.

A criminal case was initiated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 1, 3 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

A number of investigatory actions - inspection of the scene were conducted, samples were taken, a number of people were questioned.

Forensic medical, forensic genetic, forensic trace and forensic ballistic examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Instructions were given to the relevant division of the Police to take measures to identify those having committed the alleged crime and bring them to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
