Criminal Case on Giving Bribe to Chief Specialist of “Assessments and Testing Center” SNCO of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Completed

In the result of comprehensive investigation conducted in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of taking bribe by the chief specialist of “Assessments and Testing Center” SNCO of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports were found out.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation, on 1 July, 2021 the mother of the participant of the joint exams of 2021 – 49 year-old resident of Yerevan, with the help of her former husband, gave bribe in particularly large amount – 1.487.520 AMD tantamount to 3.000 USD to the chief specialist of “Assessment and Testing Center” SNCO of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports to give the test answers developed by the latter to her daughter before the English language examination and as a result to ensure a high mark.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the chief specialist of the above-mentioned SNCO according to the Point 2 of the Part 4 of the Article 311 of RA Criminal Code and detention was used as a pretrial measure against her. Charge was pressed against the resident of Yerevan according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 312 of RA Criminal Code, against her former husband - according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 38-312 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation to confirm and to send it to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
