In the result of investigative and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of apparent attempt of swindling, taking bribe committed by the deputy head of the staff of Nork-Marash administrative district of Yerevan were found out.

Particularly, through investigation data were obtained on the allegation that the deputy head of the staff of  Nork-Marash administrative district of Yerevan, for the purpose of swindling somebody else’s property in particularly large amount, presenting that the  plot of land located in Nor Nork administrative district, owned by the community factually belonged to him, gaining the citizen’s confidence who wanted to buy the plot, tried to sell it and swindle money in particularly large amount -  4.834.900 AMD.

Besides, the deputy head of the staff of the administrative district, abusing official position, demanded money in particularly large amount – 4.000 USD from the buyer for organizing the process of privatization of the mentioned land, eliminating possible obstacles during construction of an unauthorized building on the land before the process of privatization started, giving advice and performing other actions due to service to which the buyer gave his consent.

The deputy head of the staff of Nork-Marash administrative district was arrested on suspicion of committing a crime envisaged by the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 34-178 and the Point 2 of the Part 4 of the Article 311 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
