Within the criminal case on taking commercial bribe and bribe investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against the chair head of one of the faculties of Vanadzor State University after H. Tumanyan.

It was earlier informed that the chair head, being in charge of exam periods and results, reached agreement with a resident of Vanadzor on providing positive marks for course work, exams, tests of some students for a certain amount and  periodically received money in several amounts as bribe, taken from students by the mediator. He gave a part of the money to the latter and positive marks were given to course work, exams, tests of the students.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the chair head according to the Part 3 of the Article 200 (commercial bribe), the Point 3 of the Part 3 of the Article 311 (taking bribe) and the Part 1 of the Article 311 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
