Criminal Proceeding Initiated based on Report of Resident of Yerevan T. Yenokyan; One Person Arrested
Necessary measures are taken in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances mentioned in the report of the resident of Yerevan T. Yenokyan received from the RA Prosecutor’s Office as well as in the report submitted by the latter’s mother.
Particularly, the resident of Yerevan Yenokyan submitted a report informing that on June 29, 2022 at about 00:30, being in her apartment, she had heard shots and some hours later at about 06:30 she had noticed that the glass of one of the windows in her living-room was broken.
Besides, on July 12, 2022 Yenokyan submitted a report informing that on July 12 at about 00:50 a shot was fired towards the window of the living-room of the apartment 26, house 4, Shopron Street, Yerevan. As a result, pecuniary damage of 50.000 AMD was caused to her.
Based on the above-mentioned reports criminal proceedings were initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 334, the Part 1 of the Article 335, the Part 3 of the Article 297 of RA Criminal Code.
It should be added that a few months before Yenokyan’s mother had submitted a report informing that between 13:00, March 6 and 10:20, March 9 an unknown person burnt the lower part of the entrance door of their apartment causing pecuniary damage. Related to this fact on March 17, 2022 a criminal case was initiated according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 185 of the RA former Criminal Code.
Considering that there is necessity to provide proper and comprehensive investigation within criminal proceedings related with factual circumstances, a decision was made to combine the mentioned criminal proceedings.
In the result of investigative and procedural actions as well as measures taken by the employees of the RA Police, based on reasonable suspicion on crime committal T. Yenokyan’s ex-fiance was arrested, he was questioned and gave self-incriminating testimony.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
