In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the proceeding of Stepanavan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a decision was made to arrest the head of Stepanavan Territorial Agency of Social Assistance Albert Gharakeshishyan.

In the result of investigatory and operative-searching measures taken through preliminary investigation numerous abuses were found in social assistance sphere in Stepanavan, their mechanism was also found out.  

Particularly, false information about several socially insecure people was introduced to computer base of Stepanavan Territorial Agency, their names were involved in beneficiaries' lists, illegal benefits were formulated and the money was squandered.  

Necessary measures are taken to find out the frame of those related to apparent abuses, the role of each of them, the volume of the damage caused to the state.

On July 19, 2018 4 employees of Stepanavan Territorial Agency of Social Assistance were arrested. Today a decision was made to arrest the head of Stepanavan Territorial Agency of Social Assistance Albert Gharakeshishyan performance of which was tasked to the relevant subdivisions of the police.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Additional information about results will be provided.
