Died of bodily injuries sustained during argument; suspects identified

In the result of investigatory and operative-intelligence actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of 26 year-old young man's death, as well as the frame of those involved in the alleged crime were found.

On August 31, 2017 at 11:50 a call was received from medical center informing that an unidentified man unconscious with diagnosis of «polytrauma, craniocerebral trauma» was taken to medical center from Solak village of Kotayk region who was not able to give explanation.

On the same day a criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Kotayk Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code and urgent investigatory and operative-searching measures were taken to find circumstances of the case. As a result, the injured man was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1991, circumstances of sustaining bodily injuries dangerous for life, as well as the frame of those involved were found.

Pursuant to investigation data the young man sustained the bodily injuries during the argument with his acquaintance over domestic issues. The argument over buying a cigarette turned into brawl which continued in the car, as well. As a result, the 26 year-old young man with bodily injuries was taken to hospital where the doctors could not save his life; on September 3 the investigative body was informed that the injured died in medical center without regaining consciousness. Forensic medical examination of the body was commissioned.

It was found that the young man had been hit by three persons, data were obtained on their identity and the police were tasked to take measures to find the mentioned persons.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
