In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee measures are being taken to identify the injured in the result of violence committed on April 21 in K. Ulnetsi Street.

It was earlier informed that urgent investigatory and operative-searching measures are taken in the framework of the criminal case investigated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code – on case of violence used against citizens during protests in K. Ulnetsi Street on April 21, 2018 to identify those having committed the alleged crime and those injured in the result of the activities committed.

Particularly, pursuant to the obtained actual data, on April 21 while protesting the citizens partially blocked the carriageway of K. Ulnetsi Street during which two cars of “Porsche” make drove to them. A group of people got out of the mentioned cars and hit with blackjacks the people who had blocked the street, as well as the cars and drivers passing in the mentioned area.

Data about the driver of the damaged car of “Mercedes Benz” had been submitted to the investigative body. The latter was found the injured party and questioned.

After the Investigative Committee had released the video on April 22 the driver of the car of “Nissan Fuga” which was damaged on the day of the incident turned himself to the investigative body. He was found the injured party and gave testimony.

Measures are ongoing to find the driver of the car of “Niva” make who had been affected by the activities of the people having committed the alleged crime. The driver is asked to appear himself in the RA IC Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
