Enemy targeted peaceful settlements, attempted to kill minor at cemetery; criminal cases initiated
Criminal cases were initiated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on firing at the village of Chinar of Tavush region, destroying, damaging the peasants’ property, murder attempt against a minor committed by the enemy on July 20.
On July 20, 2017 from 13:00 to 18:30 shots were fired from Azeri military base towards the village of Tavush region targeting civilians.
Particularly, shots were fired towards the minor, born in 2000, who was at the cemetery of the village of Chinar; he hid behind the stone and stayed there for about 2 hours to protect himself from the enemy’s balls.
The village was under fire for a long time, as a result the kindergarten of the village, peasants’ houses, property, grass bales have been destroyed and damaged. Pursuant to initial data, the damage inflicted is over 12 million AMD.
5 criminal cases were initiated in the RA IC Tavush Regional Investigative Department, one – according to the Point 13 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104, 3 – according to the Points 1, 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 185, 1 - according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 185 of RA Criminal Code.
Inspection of the site was conducted, forensic medical, forensic merchandising examinations were commissioned, the owners of the damaged, destroyed property were found the injured party.
