Through the criminal case investigated in the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out that the former head of Arabkir community of Yerevan, being an official, out of personal and mercenary motives allegedly abused his official authorities, used the official position against service interests which inflicted significant damage to the rights and legal interests of Arabkir community causing grave consequences.

Particularly, on 25 April, 2007 1500 s/m land plot from “Arabkir” park which belonged to Yerevan community and was involved in restrictions of the Article 60 of the RA Land Code was by direct sale for 19.367.755 AMD alienated to the person related to the former head of the community - the director of “Clean Arabkir” CJSC founded under the jurisdiction of Arabkir municipality.  About a year later – on 8 April, 2020 the latter resold the mentioned land plot to another citizen for a cost several times more expensive - 184.200.000 AMD.

On the base of sufficient evidence a decision was made to involve the former head of the community as a defendant according to the Part 2 of the Article 308 (abuse of official authorities), search was declared and detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

The relevant subdivision of the RA Police was tasked to take measures to find and bring him to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
