Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of kidnapping 23 year-old young man. Four persons were arrested.

On December 15, 2018 at 15:00 the resident of Yerevan, born in 1995, submitted a report in Arabkir Division of RA Police informing that on December 12, 2018 at about 23:30 people known to him kidnapped him using violence against him. They forced him into a car of “Mercedes” make, took him to a house kept him there and beat him with 8 people unknown to him.

Pursuant to the young man’s report, in the meantime one of those present threatened him with a pistol, another - with a knife. They scolded him, injured his right wrist with a knife.

On December 15, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in Arabkir Division of the RA Police according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 131 of RA Criminal Code (kidnapping by a group of persons with prior agreement). On the same day the criminal case was received in the proceeding of the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district. 23 year-old young man was found the injured party and gave testimony.

In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-intelligence measures a number of circumstances of the case - the motive, the scene were found out, 4 people having committed the alleged crime were identified; they are residents of Yerevan.

Inspection of the scene was conducted with participation of the injured during which he pointed out the place he had been kidnapped. Confrontation was conducted.

Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Necessary investigatory and operative-intelligence measures are taken to find out the frame of those involved, to verify the circumstances mentioned in testimonies. The relevant subdivision of the Police was tasked to take measures to find and bring them to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
