In the framework of the criminal case on armed incident that took place in Gyumri on March 7 some of the persons having committed the apparent crime identified
In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee initiated on the armed incident that took place in Gyumri on March 7, 2015, a number of circumstances were found, as well as some of the persons having committed the apparent crime were identified.
Taking the public interest into consideration, we inform that on the base of the obtained evidence on March 10 a decision was made on involving the residents of Gyumri – Grigoryan brothers as a defendant.
A. Grigoryan is charged with murder attempt against two and more persons, G. Grigoryan is charged with hooliganism by using a firearm procured and carried illegally.
On the same day imprisonment was chosen as a pretrial measure against them and search was declared. The appropriate subdivisions of the police take measures to find the persons under persecution.
It was earlier informed that in the result of armed incident, that took place in Myasnikyan St., Gyumri on March 7, 6 persons with different bodily damages were taken to hospital.
On March 8 a criminal case was initiated in Shirak Regional Investigative Department for murder attempt against two and more persons, armed hooliganism, illegal procurement and keeping weapons and ammunition according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104, the Part 4 of the Article 258 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
On March 11 the medical center informed the investigative body that Knyaz Ghazaryan, who had been taken to hospital, died of wounds he had sustained.
Preliminary investigation is under way.
Necessary investigative and operative-searching measures are taken to provide the comprehensive examination of the circumstances of the case, to identify all the participants, as well as to reveal the actions of each participant.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
