Information on Criminal Proceedings Investigated on Domestic Violence in 2022 in Proceeding of RA Investigative Committee
In 2022 960 criminal proceedings domestic violence have been investigated in the proceeding of the RA Investigative Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) out of which
122 of the mentioned proceedings have been completed with a bill of indictment and on 126 persons have been sent to court, 301 criminal proceedings have been terminated 150 of which on rehabilitative, 151 – on non-rehabilitative base, 8 criminal proceedings have been terminated based on the Article 31 of the RA former Criminal Procedure Code. 16 criminal proceedings have been sent according to subordination, 130 proceedings have been combined, 383 criminal proceedings have passed to January, 2023.
9 of the proceedings sent to court have been on murder, 1 - on infliction of heavy damage to health, 3 - on infliction of damage of medium gravity to health, 1 - on kidnapping, 1 - violent sexual actions, 2 - on sexual acts with a person under 16, 5 - on infliction of light damage to health, 25 - on physical impact, 3 - on causing strong physical pain or strong mental sufferance, 1 - on hindering to visits of parent or other close relative to the child, 3 - on avoiding paying alimony, 68 - on other crimes.
108 of 125 accused within the criminal proceedings sent to court have been spouses, 4 – grandmother or grandfather, 5 – sister or brother, 8 – son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter.
Criminal prosecution has not been conducted on rehabilitative bases or criminal prosecution has been terminated against 125 persons.
