Initiation of Criminal Case on 30 Materials with Apparent Electoral Breaches Recorded during Snap Elections of Yerevan Council of Elders Rejected
During the snap elections of Yerevan Council of Elders held on September 23 and over the next few days 30 cases were recorded in which there are apparent elements of crime are envisaged by RA Criminal Code.
Based on the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 1 of the Article 35 of RA Criminal Code decisions were made to reject the initiation of criminal case on the recorded 30 cases.
19 of 30 cases with apparent electoral breaches related to attempt to vote more than once, 11 – to breach of confidentiality of ballot.
Out of 30 cases
- 4 were prepared in Yerevan Investigative Department,
- 7 – in the Investigative Division of Malatia - Sebastia administrative district,
- 4 - in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts,
- 3 - in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district,
- 7 - in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts,
- 3 - in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer - Zeytun administrative district,
- 2 - in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative district.
