On 17 June, 2021 at 23:15 a call was received from “Sevan” medical center in the RA Police station informing that a resident of a house located in Nalbandyan Street, Sevan with a diagnosis of “craniocerebral injury, acute cranial circulatory disorder, comatose condition” was taken to hospital.

A criminal case was initiated in Sevan Police Division according to the Point 14 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to Sevan Investigative Division of Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of large-scale investigative and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case it was found out that on 14 June, 2021 from 16:30 to 21:00 the man living at the same address, born in 1967, willfully hit his mother causing her death by negligence.

A few days later – on 22 June at 01:55 a call was received in Sevan Police Division from a citizen informing that her husband, born in 1967, who was the son of the above-mentioned dead woman, had committed suicide by hanging in their apartment located in Nalbandyan Street, Sevan.

During preparation of materials inspection of the scene was immediately conducted, forensic medical examination of the body was commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is under way.
