The criminal case initiated on May 15 in the Police on the case of violence committed on April 21 in K. Ulnetsi Street was received in the proceeding of the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Pursuant to initial data, on April 21, 2018 at about 13:30 in K. Ulnetsi Street several young men hit the parked cars of citizens with blackjacks and damaged them inflicting property damage.

Investigation is conducted in the RA IC Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department to identify those affected by violence, as well as those having committed the alleged crime. The video of the case available on the internet was downloaded and inspected.

Particularly, according to the obtained actual evidence, on April 21 the citizens partially blocked the carriageway of K. Ulnetsi Street during which two cars of “Porsche” make drove to them. A group of people got out of the mentioned cars and hit with blackjacks the people who had blocked the street, as well as the cars and drivers passing in the mentioned area.

Through investigation the driver of the damaged car of “Mercedes Benz” make was identified; he is M. Danielyan, he was found the injured party and questioned.

In order to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of the criminal case measures are taken to identify those captured in the video, drivers of other cars damaged in the result of their actions and eye-witnesses. The police subdivisions were tasked to take operative-searching measures.

Those affected in the result of the incident are asked to appear themselves to the investigative body. Those who have any information about the young men armed with blackjacks captured in the video using violence are asked to turn to the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
