Preliminary investigation of the criminal proceeding initiated on the son’s murder committed by 65 year-old resident of Armavir province was completed in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Through investigation factual data were obtained on the allegation that on July 24, 2022 at about 17:30 during the argument between 65 year-old man and his son in one of the houses of the village of Gay in Armavir province the latter started breaking the property in the house and threatened to kill his father. The father's patience ran out because of his son's behavior and taking a knife from the kitchen, with the intent to deprive of life, he stabbed his son on the neck. The latter fell down after which he got up and ran to the street and meeting a fellow-villager asked to take him to hospital where he died of the bodily injuries he had received.

On the base of the factual data obtained through investigation charge was pressed against 65 year-old man according to the Point 9 of the Part 2 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the materials of the proceeding with the bill of indictment were dent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
