Within the framework of the criminal proceeding investigated in Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee investigative and other procedural actions are conducted to find out the circumstances of the alleged murder of 65 year-old resident of Armavir province.

Based on the call received from Armavir ambulance station on February 5, 2023 at 23:45 the police employees of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs left for the apartment of one of the houses located on Baghramyan Street, Armavir where the body of the above-mentioned resident of Armavir town was found.

A criminal proceeding was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code.

Through the autopsy numerous injuries were found on different parts of the man’s body, pursuant to initial data, the man’s death was caused by traumatic-hemorrhagic shock.

Pursuant to initial data obtained during preliminary investigation, on February 5, 2023 65 year-old man asked for vodka in the shop and being refused started scolding in the shop. The shop assistant’s son, entering and hearing the man scolding, started beating him on different parts of his body. Then the shop assistant and her husband took the man to their house where after a short while they noticed that the man was not breathing and called the ambulance.

Inspection of the scene was conducted, forensic medical expertise of the body was commissioned, a number of persons were questioned.

Necessary measures are taken to find 21 year-old young man.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
