A criminal case was initiated in Ararat Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on 71 year-old man’s murder. The victim’s son was arrested.
 

On February 16, 2017 at 17:50 a call was received from a resident of Goravan village of Ararat region informing that their neighbor’s son stabbed his father.
 

The investigatory-operative group headed by the Head of Ararat Regional Investigative Department Gevorg Simonyan immediately left for the site. At the site – in the kitchen of the house the body of the 71 year-old resident of the same house was found lying on the back.
 

Through inspection numerous cut-pierced injuries were found on his body, particularly 4 and 3 cut-pierced injuries were found on the frontal part of the abdomen and the back surface of the left part of the chest, accordingly.
 

Through inspection of the site 2 kitchen knives with bloodlike traces were found.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Ararat Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. The victim’s son, born in 1971, was arrested on suspicion of murder. The latter lived with his father, does not work, suffers from “Schizophrenia”.  
 

In the framework of the criminal case forensic medical, forensic biological examinations were commissioned. Measures are taken to find the causes of murder.
