On April 22, 2020 at 06:50 a call was received from a citizen informing that there was a body at the area of G. Nzhdeh monument of Kapan town.

The investigatory-operative group found the body of 29 year-old resident of Kapan with firearm injuries at the entrance of the mentioned monument.

A criminal case was initiated in Syunik Regional investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 (murder) and the Part 1 of the Article 235 (illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) of RA Criminal Code.    
     

A number of urgent investigatory actions, including inspection of the scene were conducted during which two fired capsules were found, forensic medical examination of the body, forensic trace, forensic ballistic, forensic fiber, forensic biological examinations were commissioned.

Measures are taken to find out all circumstances of the case, to identify and find the person (persons) having committed the alleged crime, to verify the circumstances pointed out in testimonies.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
