One person arrested within criminal case on mass disorders at junction of Mashtots-Tumanyan Streets
In the result of measures taken during preliminary investigation of the criminal case investigated on mass disorders that took place on the evening of April 17 at the junction of Mashtots-Tumanyan streets one of the people involved in disorders was identified, he was arrested.
Pursuant to criminal case data, on the evening of April 17, 2018 at the junction of Mashtots-Tumanyan Streets a group of participants of the meeting organized by MP Nikol Pashinyan broke the signboards, traffic lights and traffic signs located at the mentioned area, hit three service cars of the Police with metal items inflicting property damage.
On April 18, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in the Prosecution office of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts according to the Parts 1 and 2 of the Article 225 of RA Criminal Code which on the same day was sent to the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee for conduction of preliminary investigation and was received in the proceeding.
Further conduction of preliminary investigation of the mentioned criminal case was tasked to RA IC General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases by the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee.
Investigatory and operative-searching measures of great volume are taken to find all circumstances of the case, to identify those involved in disorders, several people are questioned, videos of the incident are inspected.
As a result, one of the participants was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan and he was arrested.
Investigation is conducted to identify all those directly involved in disorders, to personalize the actions of each of them and to give appropriate criminal legal assessment.
