Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Case Initiated on Inflicting Heavy Bodily Damage and Beating Completed

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on inflicting heavy bodily damage to 37 year-old resident of Vanadzor and beating 28 year-old woman was completed in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. Charge was pressed against two persons.

In the result of investigatory and procedural actions conducted during pretrial proceeding a number of circumstances of the case, the motive were found out.

On January 28, 2019 in the car parked at one of the houses of Vanadzor 37 year-old man argued with his 28 year-old wife over domestic matters, then he pulled her hair and beat her. The woman's father, born in 1969, who was also in the car, saw this and argued with the man because of scolding him and his daughter and beating her. In the car then getting out of the car he hit the man with fists on his face, head for several times causing heavy bodily damage threatening to life.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 50 year-old resident of Vanadzor according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Charge was pressed against 37 year-old resident of Vanadzor according to the Article 118 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
