Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on stabbing committed in Qajaran town was completed in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee; charge was pressed against 27 year-old young man.

On September 8, 2017 a call was received informing that 36 year-old man with cut-pierced injuries was taken to Qajaran's medical center. It was found that the latter had been inflicted bodily injuries during an argument.

In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case initiated in the RA IC Syunik Regional Investigative Department a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case were found; the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Qajaran, born in 1990.

Particularly, though preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that on September 8, 2017 at about 02:30 an argument over domestic matters took place between townsmen which went on at the beginning of the bridge connecting Abovyan and Bakunts Streets of Qajaran town. 27 year-old young man, noticing 36 year-old man and the latter's brother attacked and stabbed the latters on different parts of their bodies inflicting heavy bodily damage to 36 year-old man and light damage to his brother.  

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 27 year-old young man according to the Article 117 and the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code, detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

On December 8 the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
