In the result of necessary investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee stabbing committed in Qajaran was revealed, charge was pressed against one person.

On September 8, 2017 a call was received informing that 36 year-old man with cut-pierced injuries was taken to Qajaran's medical center. In the result of urgent measures it was found that the man was stabbed on September 8 at about 02:30 during the argument over domestic matters with fellow citizens. Actual sufficient data were obtained on identification of the person having committed the alleged crime; he is a resident of Qajaran, born in 1990. Through search of the latter's house the knife which was the crime tool was found.

In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against 27 year-old young man according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of all circumstances of the case. Forensic medical, criminological examinations were commissioned, a number of persons were questioned.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
