Resident of Verishen Village Charged with Infliction of Heavy Bodily Damage to Fellow-Villager, Rape-Attempt against Latter’s Wife and Breach of Inviolability of Dwelling Detained
In the result of large-scale investigative and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in Goris Investigative Division of Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of willful infliction of heavy bodily damage to fellow-villager’s life as well as rape attempt against the latter’s wife committed by the resident of Verishen village were found out.
Through preliminary investigation it was found out that on April 7, 2021 at about 00:15 30 year-old resident of Verishen village against the will of the people in the house, by taking out the window board next to the entrance gate of the house illegally entered the fellow-villager’s house. In the bedroom taking advantage that the latter’s wife was helpless as she was asleep, against her will, he tried to have a sexual intercourse with her. However, under unforeseen circumstances he could not complete the crime as the woman then her husband woke up. Then 30 year-old man stabbed the landlord once on his chest with a sharp item he had with him causing the man heavy bodily damage threatening to life.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 30 year-old resident of Verishen according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 (infliction of willful heavy damage to health), the Part 1 of the Article 34-138 (rape attempt) and the Part 1 of the Article 147 (breach of inviolability of the dwelling) of RA Criminal Code. He was detained.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
