In the result of investigative and procedural actions conducted in Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of firing shots towards the unused trailer-house next to the store operating in Bulvarayin Street of Gyumri town were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified.

As it was already informed, on April 28, 2023 at night shots were fired towards the unused trailer-house next to the mentioned store and a criminal proceeding was initiated according to the Part 3 of the Article 297 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code.

Through inspection of the scene conducted during preliminary investigation capsules of 15 fired bullets were found. Gunshot marks were found on the walls and windows of the trailer-house, a bullet casing that was a part of a fired bullet was found through inspection of the unused house and taken.

In the result of necessary measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Gyumri, born in 1981.

Pursuant to data obtained through investigation, on the mentioned day – at night being under the influence of alcohol, the latter stopped a taxi near the store located on Bulvarayin Street, got out of it, fired shots towards the unused trailer-house next to the store and left.

During preliminary investigation searches were conducted in the latter’s factual residence and in the house located in Krityan Street, Gyumri. As a result, 14 bullets of 7.62mm were found and confiscated.

In the result of taken measures the rifle, which was the instrument of the crime, was found.

Forensic ballistic and forensic trace expertise was commissioned.

A motion was submitted to the prosecutor to initiate a public criminal prosecution against 41 year-old man according to the Part 3 of the Article 297 of RA Criminal Code.

The Police was assigned to take measures to bring the person having committed the alleged crime to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
