Shots in Yerevan; One Person Arrested
On June 30, 2020 at 16:30 a call was received from a citizen informing that on the same day he heard shots at one of the houses on Andranik Street, Yerevan and saw a man with an injury on the head lying on the ground.
Through inspection of the scene – the area adjoining to the mentioned house blood-like traces were found and taken.
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 (hooliganism) and the Part 1 of the Article 235 (illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) of RA Criminal Code.
Through investigation the person having fired shots was identified; he is a 21 year-old resident of Yerevan who at the same time sustained bodily injuries.
The latter was arrested on suspicion of committing a committal envisaged by the Part 4 of the Article 258 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
Forensic medical, forensic chemical examinations were commissioned, samples of shots were received. Investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case, to identify and find others involved in the incident.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
