Stabbing at hotel; a number of circumstances of the case found
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing a man in the room of a hotel complex.
On December 12 at 09:30 a call was received from medical center informing that 24 year-old Yu. Chilingaryan with diagnosis of “pierced wound on the chest” was taken to medical center. The latter works at “Armenia” airlines as a second pilot.
According to preliminary investigation data the young man was inflicted heavy bodily damage with a knife in one of the hotels in Yerevan on December 12, 2016 at about 08:00 by a young girl.
After the incident the man was taken to a medical center by his friend in the latter’s car.
On the same day a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code, the man was found an injured party. The girl was interrogated and gave testimony, signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against her.
In the result of urgent investigatory actions a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case, including the reason why the girl had been at the hotel were found.
Considering the right for protection of personal data fixed by the Article 34 of RA Constitution and that everybody has the right for protection of data related to him/her the actual data obtained through the criminal case shall not be published.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing, urgent investigatory actions are conducted to verify the circumstances mentioned in the suspect’s testimonies.
Forensic medical, biological, toxic-chemical, trace and criminological examinations were commissioned.
Additional information on procedural decisions made on the base of investigation results will be provided.
