Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on willful infliction of heavy bodily damage is ongoing in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

It was already informed that on November 23, 2018 at 00:05 a call was received from “Qanaqer-Zeytun” medical center informing that a young man, born in 1992, with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced wounds on the back surface of the right lower limb, wounds on paravertebral region from the right” was taken to them.

On the same day at 00:10 one more call was received from “Surgery Institute after Mikayelyan” medical center informing that a young man, born in 1995, with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced wounds on lumbar region, hemorrhagic shock” was taken to them.

It was found out that those who had sustained bodily injuries were brothers.A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

During preliminary investigation it was found out that on the same day on November 23, 2018 at 01:45 a resident of Gegharkunik province, born in 1985, with a diagnosis of “injuries on the nose, head, two knees” was taken to medical center “After Mikayelyan”.

On the same day at 02:35 a man, born in 1980 with a diagnosis of “fracture of upper region of the left eyebrow, upper eyelid hematoma” and at 02:40 a resident of Yerevan, born in 1972, with a diagnosis of “craniocerebral trauma and polytrauma” were taken to “Qanaqer-Zeytun” medical center.

Pursuant to the obtained data, the above-mentioned people sustained the mentioned bodily injuries during the quarrel that took place in front of one of the houses on 6^th Qanaqer Street, Yerevan.

During preliminary investigation data were obtained on the motive of the argument, those involved in the quarrel, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1992, and is suspected of stabbing two brothers.

The latter was apprehended on suspicion of committing the alleged crime and gave testimony. He pointed out the crime tool - the knife which was confiscated.

Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against 26 year-old young man.

Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of the case.
