In the result of necessary investigatory and operative-searching actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of stabbing committed in Ejmiatsin on September 17 were found, search was declared.

Pursuant to initial data, on September 17, 2017 at about 21:20 an argument over domestic matters took place in Ejmiatsin during which Hambardzumyan brothers were stabbed. One of the brothers was inflicted heavy bodily damage, the other – light bodily damage.

A criminal case was initiated in the police according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Article 117 of RA Criminal Code which was received in the proceeding of Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. The brothers were found an injured party, forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

In the result of investigatory actions of great volume a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case were found, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Ejmiatsin town, born in 1999, recognition with a photo was conducted.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence a decision was made to involve the 18 year-old young man as a defendant according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Article 117 of RA Criminal Code, search was declared against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
