Stabbing Committed in “Nansen’s” Park Disclosed

In the result of investigatory actions of great volume conducted in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of stabbing committed in “Nansen’s” park were disclosed.

On September 26, 2018 at 15:05 a call was received from “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center in Nor Nork Division of the RA Police informing that a 14 year-old resident of Yerevan with “cut-pierced wound on the chest” was taken to medical center where he told that he had been stabbed by his acquaintance near the school N 106.

On September 26, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. The young man was found the injured party.

Through preliminary investigation it was found out that on September 26, 2018 at about 15:00 during the argument at the area of “Nansen’s” park in the first massive of Nor Nork of Yerevan the person, born in 2004, stabbed the boy of his age on the chest inflicting heavy bodily damage.

In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case the circumstances of the incident were found out. On September 26, 2018 the person having committed the alleged crime surrendered himself to the police. Inspection of the scene was conducted with his participation during which the knife which was the crime tool was found and confiscated.

Handing to parent’s control was chosen as a pretrial measure against the person having committed the alleged crime.

Forensic medical and forensic biological complex examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
