Stabbing of minor resident of Lori region revealed

Necessary investigatory actions are conducted in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find all circumstances of inflicting heavy bodily damage to the minor resident of Vanadzor.

On August 4, 2017 at 22:00 a call was received from “Vanadzor Medical Center” informing that a minor resident of the same town, born in 2002, with a diagnosis of “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the chest from the left” was taken to medical center. He declared that he had sustained the injury in the result of falling dawn near one of the schools of Vanadzor.

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of necessary measures taken in the framework of the criminal case it was found that, in fact, the minor had sustained the mentioned bodily injury during an argument, actual data were obtained on the person having committed the alleged crime; he is also a minor, born in 2001.

Pursuant to preliminary investigation data, the argument between the minor residents of Vanadzor took place on August 4 at about 19:00 near one of the schools of Vanadzor during which the 15 year-old teenager was stabbed. A bodily injury was also found at 16 year-old suspect who declared that he had sustained the injury during the same argument.

During preliminary investigation the 15 year-old resident of Vanadzor was found the injured party, giving to parent’s control was chosen as a pretrial measure against 16 year-old suspect.

Forensic medical examinations were commissioned to find a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case, necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
