Through preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated in General Military Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on murder of the serviceman of the unit N located in Yerevan, Haykaz Barseghyan a number of circumstances were found, evidence on transgression by officer personnel was obtained.
 

According to the materials of the criminal case on murder a new criminal case was initiated in General Military Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 375 of RA Criminal Code (transgression of authority which inflicted essential damage). In the framework of the criminal case on 13 February the officer of Military Institute after Vazgen Sargsyan of RA Ministry of Defense, Captain Artyom Avetisyan was detained on suspicion of committing a crime prescribed by the mentioned article.
 

It was earlier informed that on 29 January, 2015 at about 06:35 the serviceman of the unit N located in Yerevan, Haykaz Barseghyan was found hung with a rope from the high bar of the sports ground of the same unit.
 

A criminal case was initiated in General Military Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. An investigative group was created.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence on 2 February the servicemen of the same unit Vache Sahakyan, Movses Azaryan, Gnel Tevosyan and Norik Sahakyan were charged according to the Points 7 and 10 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code for murder committed by a group of people out of hooliganism. Imprisonment was chosen against them as a pretrial measure.
 

 Preliminary investigation in both criminal cases is ongoing. Measures are taken to find all the circumstances of the case, as well as to provide its comprehensive examination.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
