Three Criminal Cases Initiated on Shots Fired by Enemy on July 14

On July 14, 2020 three criminal cases were initiated in Tavush Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on shots fired by the enemy.

Thus,

On July 14, 2020 at about 10:15 from enemy combat bases adjacent to Berd community of Tavush province at Armenian-Azerbajanian border, out of motives of national, race or religious hate or fanatism for the purpose of depriving two or more people from life and willful destruction of property shots were fired towards the brandy factory in Berd town. As a result of projectile explosion one enameled container and glasses of buildings were damaged. The crime was not completed as the employees of the brandy factory were sheltered.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Points 6, 13 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 (murder attempt) and the Points 1 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 185 (willful destruction or spoilage of property) of RA Criminal Code.

On July 14, 2020 from 09:00 to 12:00 from enemy combat bases adjacent to Aygepar settlement of Berd community of Tavush province at Armenian-Azerbajanian border, out of motives of national, race or religious hate or fanatism for the purpose of depriving two or more people from life and willful destruction of property shots were fired towards the houses of 7 residents of Aygepar. However, the crime was not completed and the external walls, windows and roofs of the mentioned houses were spoilt in a flammable way.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Points 6, 13 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 (murder attempt) and the Points 1 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 185 (willful destruction or spoilage of property) of RA Criminal Code.

On July 14, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 from enemy combat bases adjacent to Berd community of Tavush province at Armenian-Azerbajanian border, out of motives of national, race or religious hate or fanatism for the purpose of depriving two or more people from life and willful destruction of property shots were fired towards cemetery of Tavush. As a result of projectile explosion the tombstone of a resident, born in 1990, and the cemetery wall of 3 meters were spoilt.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Points 1 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 185 (willful destruction or spoilage of property) of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation of the mentioned criminal cases is ongoing.
