Two Indian Citizens, Charged with Illegal Turnover of Narcotic Drugs, Detained (photos)
In the result of large-scale investigative actions conducted and joint operative–intelligence measures taken within the framework of the criminal proceeding investigated according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 393 of RA Criminal Code, in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, significant circumstances of illegal procurement, transportation and keeping of narcotic drugs of «a-PVP» type for the purpose of sale, committed with prior agreement by two citizens of the Republic of India, were found out.
Through evidentiary actions factual data were obtained on the allegation that the mentioned people procured 120 packages of drugs packed with adhesive tapes of various colors. Through examination of a part of them it was found out that it was narcotic drug in particularly large amount - totally 8,22 grams of «a-PVP».
Particularly, through personal search 30 packages packed with adhesive tapes of various colors were found at one of the mentioned persons, and through inspection of the scene conducted at the grassy area next to the freeway of Zeytun cemetery located in Fanarjyan Street, 90 packages packed with adhesive tapes of various colors were found.
On the base of the obtained sufficient facts public criminal prosecution was initiated against the above-mentioned persons according to the Point 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 393 of RA Criminal Code and charge was pressed against them.
Motions were submitted to court by the investigative body to select detention as a pretrial measure against them. They were sufficed.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
