V. Abgaryan arrested on suspicion of organizing murder and creating criminal association
In the framework of the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee investigatory and other procedural actions are ongoing to find all circumstances of murder of the resident of Alaverdi town K. Piruzyan; factual data were obtained on the allegation that the murder had been ordered, three persons were arrested.
On June 13, 2017 at about 12:10 shots were fired in Alaverdi town. As a result, the citizen Kamo Piruzyan (born in 1978) died of firearm injuries he had sustained.
In the result of measures of great volume taken by the employees of National Security Service factual data were obtained on the allegation that K. Piruzyan’s murder had been committed by the order of the resident of the same town V. Abgaryan. Searches were conducted today in about three dozens of addresses by the employees of the investigative body and General Department of Fight against Organized Crime of the Police. A number of persons were apprehended.
On the base of the obtained sufficient data, today – on January 18 V. Abgaryan was arrested on suspicion of organizing murder and creating criminal association envisaged by the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 223 of RA Criminal Code.
Two more persons were also arrested; one of them – on suspicion of supporting the organization of murder and participation in criminal association, the other – on suspicion of participation in criminal association.
It was earlier informed that the resident of Alaverdi town, born in 1991, was detained for committing the murder.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation of the case.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
