Willful Infliction of Heavy Damage to Wife Committed by 23 Year-Old Young Man Disclosed
In the result of investigatory actions conducted in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee willful infliction of heavy damage to wife committed by 23 year-old young man was disclosed. Charge was pressed against the latter.
On January 17, 2020 at 18:00 a call was received in Taron Police Division from «Vanadzor Medical Center» CJSC informing that a resident of Vanadzor town, born in 1998, with «cut-pierced penetrating injuries on the frontal part of the abdomen and cut-pierced wound on the left wrist» was taken to medical center.
A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. 22 year-old resident of Vanadzor was found the injured party.
Inspection of the scene was conducted, a number of persons were questioned, the clothes the injured was wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated. Forensic medical examination was commissioned.
In the result of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is the husband of the injured, born in 1997.
Through preliminary investigation it was found out that on January 21, 2020 at about 17:30 in one of the apartments of Demirchyan Street of Vanadzor 23 year-old young man learning that his wife was pregnant demanded that she should live with him. But after being refused a row erupted between them during which the young man stabbed his wife causing heavy bodily damage to her health.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 23 year-old young man according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
