In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of the incident that took place in Saryan Street were found out. Charge was pressed against 2 persons – brothers, one of them being a juvenile.

Pursuant to preliminary investigation data, on March 13, 2019 at about 01:30 in Saryan Street, Yerevan at the game hall a number of people breaching the public order roughly and showing obvious disrespect towards public argued with 5 young people passing by the game hall. During the argument they beat them with metal pipes used as a weapon causing them bodily injuries. Besides, they stabbed one of the young men, born in 1990, with a sharp cutting-piercing item causing heavy bodily injury.

On March 13, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nor Nork administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. 5 young people were found the injured party.

In the result of necessary measures taken within the criminal case a number of circumstances, the scene, the motive were found out.

Particularly, it was found out that on March 13, 2019 at about 01:30 3-4 young men scolded loudly in Saryan Street near a game hall because of which a row erupted between them and 5 young people passing by. During the argument 4-5 young men came out of the game hall and joined the argument beating the mentioned young people with hands and metal items.

In the result of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures on the same day two persons were arrested on suspicion of committing the apparent crime.

A number of investigatory actions, including inspection of the scene were conducted, two of those involved in the incident were identified; they are brothers, born in 2001 and 2002, their actions were personalized, the clothes they were wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated and blood traces were found on them, forensic medical examination was commissioned.

Charge was pressed against the young man, born in 2001, according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Charge was pressed against the young man, born in 2002, according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. Optional pretrial measure – using mortgage against him was found permissible by court.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case, to find others involved in the incident, to personalize the actions of each of them and give appropriate criminal-legal assessment to their actions.

The relevant subdivision of the police was tasked to take measures to find the others having committed the crime and bring them to the investigative body.
