In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district of the RA Investigative Committee initiated on murder of the resident of Yerevan Ashot Ovoyan charge was pressed against Araqsya Suqiasyan, born in 1974. On January 15 the investigator submitted a motion to the court to use detention as a pretrial measure against her. The motion was sufficed.

A. Ovoyan’s body with a cut-pierced injury was found on January 11, 2016 in his apartment.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district according to the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of investigatory and procedural actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case it was found that bodily injuries dangerous for life were inflicted to A. Ovoyan by a woman - A. Suqiasyan, born in 1974, who had been hosted in his house.

According to preliminary investigation data, during the row on domestic issues; that is on throwing the woman’s acquaintance out of the house by A. Ovoyan, the woman stabbed the household on different parts of his body with a kitchen knife inflicting him bodily damages dangerous for life in the result of which A. Ovoyan died.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
