23 Year-Old Young Man Detained for Sexual Intercourse with 14 Year-Old Girl

23 Year-Old Young Man Detained for Sexual Intercourse with 14 Year-Old Girl

Through preliminary investigation conducted within the criminal case investigated in Goris Investigative Division of Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee it was found out that from March to September, 2020 23 year-old resident of Tegh community of the above-mentioned province committed sexual acts and had sexual intercourse with a juvenile resident of the same province – 14 year-old girl.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 23 year-old young man according to the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 141 of RA Criminal Code (2 counts). Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
