A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing 23 year-old young man. In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-searching measures circumstances of the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; the latter was arrested.

On November 23, 2018 at 22:15 a call was received in Erebuni Division of the RA Police from hospital informing that on the same day at about 21:50 a young man, born in 1995, with a diagnosis of «cut-pierced penetrating wound on the chest» was taken to them.

On the same day a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. 23 year-old young man was found the injured party.

Through preliminary investigation urgent investigatory and other procedural actions were conducted, the scene was found out, the persons involved in the incident were identified. The bloody clothes the injured was wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated from hospital, witnesses were questioned, forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

Pursuant to initial data, 23 year-old young man had sustained the bodily injuries during the quarrel between two young men, born in 1996 and 1994, in the yard of one of the houses in Arshakunyats Avenue. The person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is the young man, born in 1996. The latter was arrested and investigatory experimentation with his participation was conducted. During the experimentation he pointed out the scene, told about the circumstances and pointed out the part in Yerevanyan Lake where he had thrown the knife which was the crime tool.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Urgent investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances, to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation, to verify the circumstances mentioned in testimonies, to personalize the actions of each of those involved and to give them criminal legal assessment.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
