Necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of illegal procurement, keeping of weapon by 34 year-old resident of Byureghavan. The latter was arrested.

Pursuant to initial data, on August 15, 2019 at about 23:00 a group of persons gathered at Yerkatughayinner 1, noticing that the operative group was approaching them, fled during which one of them took out an item like a pistol out of the waist and threw it to the ground.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

During preliminary investigation the person who had thrown the pistol was identified; he is a resident of Byureghavan, born in 1985. The latter was arrested.

A number of investigatory actions were conducted, including inspection of the scene, during which two items like pistol charged with 8 and 7 bullets of 9 caliber, accordingly, as well as a knife with secret lock were confiscated.

A number of forensic examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Urgent investigatory, procedural actions of great volume are conducted, operative-intelligence measures are taken to identify those possibly related to the alleged crime.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
