Weapon and combat bullets found through personal search, the suspect arrested
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department on illegal procurement and keeping of weapon and ammunition by the resident of town Berd, Hrant Ananyan.
According to the materials received from the police H. Ananyan illegally procured and carried a homemade rifle like “PM” (Makarov) type, serving as a firearm, as well as combat bullets of 9 mm (9X18 PM) caliber of factory production provided for the rifles of “PM” and “APS” type, serving as ammunition, which were found with the latter on July 10, 2015 during the personal search conducted in Central Station of RA Police.
On July 10, 2015 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
On the same day H. Ananyan was arrested.
Preliminary investigation is under way.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
